Maserati Cars Performance Portfolio 1957-70
Our price: £13.14
This is the first of our three Maserati books. In the year that Maserati won the Formula 1 World Championship they began to focus on low-volume production of high-performance road cars. All the early cars had the 3.5-litre six engine, uprated to 3.7 in 1964. Later there were 4, 4.2, 4.7 and 4.9-litre engines. Many of the cars had bodies built by Italys finest coachbuilders. All were low-volume specialist cars, but sales volumes increased and the 1968 GT was on sale worldwide. This period ended when, fearing an economic turndown, the company was sold to Citroen. This is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests, new model introductions, technical and specification data, designs analysed, driving impressions and history. Models covered include: GT3500, Coupe, 5000GT, 2500 GTI Vignale Spyder, 3500 GT Vignale Convertible, 3500 GTI Sebring, Berlina GT, Quattro Porte, Mistral, Ghibli, Mexico, Indy, Ghibli Spyder. 136 pages, 300 illus. Including 16 pages of colour. Soft Bound
