Kaiser-Frazer Limited Edition 1946-55
Our price: £9.20
The early Kaiser and Frazer cars used the same body and the 3.7-litre engine. The Manhattan was introduced midway through 1947 and was one of the first cars to have colour-coordinated interiors. As other manufacturers caught up in designs the company was slow to respond. The 1951 Kaiser boosted sales with a stunning body. The Frazer name ceased in 1951. The Henry J of 1951 nearly brought the company down, this utilised a Willys engine, the companies merging. With the company in the doldrums Kaiser built the fibreglass Darrin sports car that also sold badly. In 1954 the Manhattan was given a McCulloch supercharger but did not sell. The final production year was 1955. This is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests, specification and technical data, drivers reports, new model intros. Models covered include:- Sedan, Peoples Car, Henry J, Henry J Six, Aero Willys, Manhattan, Aero Wing, Darrin, Kaiser, Henry J Corsair, Aero Eagle, Excalibur, Willys Ace, L-226, F-161, DKF-161, Willys Bermuda, Supercharged Manhattan. 92 pages, 200+ illustrations Soft Bound.
