PORSCHE 944 ULTIMATE PORTFOLIO
Our price: £19.50
The 944 was the third of Porsches front-engined cars, looting in to fill the gap between the 928 and the 924. The design concept of evolution rather than revolution is clear in the body style. However, under the bonnet was a very different 2.5-litre engine. In 1985 came the Turbo, 1986 a cabriolet and in 1990 the engines were uprated. The 944 was withdrawn from production in 1992 but its replacement was yet another evolution of the same car the 968. This is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests, new model introductions, technical and specification data, long-term tests, engineering, buyers guide. Models covered include:- Lux, Turbo, S, Turbo S, S2 Cabrio., S2, 2.5, 2.7, 3.0, manual and automatic. 208 pages, 550 illus, some colour. SB.
