Britains phenomenal new F1 star Lewis Hamilton, now comfortably leading the World Championship, will be at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend along with all three other British current F1 drivers, David Coulthard, Jenson Button and Anthony Davidson.

All will drive, too, Hamilton in an F1 McLaren, of course. They will join a great many other F1 stars of past and present both human and automobile for a phenomenal celebration of motorsport.

Goodwood has also rather cheekily persuaded a number of F1 stars including Button, Davidson, Mark Webber, Damon Hill, Colin McRae, Allan McNish and Troy Bayliss to join Olympic medal-winning cyclists in the Goodwood Milk Race a cycle race up the hill against the clock which also rather impressively launches Goodwoods new brand of organic milk.

Motorcycle involvement at the Festival is pepped up too, with celebrations both of 100 years of the Isle of Man TT and 20 years of the World Superbike Championship. Star participants even include the actual 1907 Norton that won that first TT, while champion racers taking part include Carl Fogarty, Neil Hodgson, James Toseland, Troy Baylis, Yukio Kagayama and Troy Corsa.

Among other significant anniversaries being celebrated at Goodwood this year are 100 years of Brooklands, 80 years of the Bugatti Royale, 75 years of Toyota/50 years of Toyota in motorsport, 25 years of Group C, 75 years of Monoposto racing cars, 75 years of the Flat-head Ford V8, 60 years of Ferrari, 60 years of Saab, 50 years of Scalextric, 40 years of the Mazda Rotary engine and 30 years of the German DRM race series.
