Chevrolet attempted to take a share of the market created by the Ford Mustang with the Camaro. It was a sporty car that was suitable for the family driver who could no longer drive a Corvette. The Camaro has a monocoque body plus a wide choice of engines. There were two six cylinder motors of 3,768 and 4,094 cc and no fewer than six V-8 units ranging from 5,354-6,489 cc.
