Scarabs were extremely fast, with their highly-tuned Chevrolet V-8 engines. Chuck Daigh and Lance Reventlow won many races in one in the late 1950s, including the Times GP of Riverside in 1958, where they beat a 4 litre Ferrari driven by Phil Hill.
