Fiat replaced its popular 125 model in 1972 with a new model, the Fiat 132. The 132 suffered with lack lustre styling and little in the way of handling improvements to entice sporting enthusiasts. Despite this the model offered reliable family transport, as was its intended market.
A range of engines were available to 132 buyers including 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0 litre petrol engines along with five speed manual gearboxes. In addition both a Diesel and powerful 2.0 litre engine were also available. In 1981 the 132 was rebadged as the Argenta during a mild facelift and continued until 1984
