Austin 8

My husband Bruce was my next door neighbor when we met (we shared a driveway) so I noticed his cars, in fact I insulted him without noticing knowing" I thought he drove a Volkwagon beetle, Bruce said "it's a Morris!" I said "oh you named it Morris!" ...to which he thought I had lost all my brains... but he educated me about his Morris collection, (he said they were bred from lemings so flocked together to die) so he had four, 2 travellers, a hard-top sedan and a convertable, plus a Lotus super 7. I learned much about him, and fell in love....especially with his excellent mechanical skills. Anyone who can drive a Lotus 7 for regular transportation for 8 years is one hell of a mechanic, but he had traded an Anglia and an old motorcycle for it and was always sorry. I was looking for Anglia's and found the Austin 8. It was far more fun to both of us! It needs work but came with all the manuals, and was only missing the boot hinge, which i've found now. Now the Lotus is just for summers! we've been happily married for 25 years, and I now know my boot from bonnet!
