Perhaps the ultimate Lancia saloon made its debut in 1988, the Thema 8.32. Although externally the new Lancia looked fairly inconspicuous the 8.32 packed a Ferrari V8 engine, borrowed from the 308, under its elegant bonnet.
The quad cam unit delivered its 215bhp through the front wheels and the ride was helped by the addition of electronic suspension damping. Inside the special Thema was trimmed using the finest materials which included wood and leather, all of which was reflected in the high retail price!
