Adler, one of Germany's little known pre-war manufacturers, introduced one its most successful cars at the Geneva Motorshow in 1932, the Trumpf. The Trumpf used a 1645cc engine and came with a choice of two or four door saloon, cabriolet or open sports coachwork.

As well as being manufactured and sold under the Adler brand the Trumpf was also produced under licence by Rosengart in France and Imperia in Belgium.
