The "Untuned" V-8 engine of the GTO had single quadruple choke carburettors by Carter. The more powerful versions had triple twin-choke units by Rochester. The smallest of them was 6,364 cc with power of 259 bhp and the biggest was a 7,462 cc unit that produced 365 bhp. The GTO was only sold as a convertible and coupe.
