First of the "whale-tail" 911's that became part of the Porsche culture, the 1975 911 Turbo introduced new levels of performance for Porsche customers. Powered by a 260bhp turbo version of the old faithful flat 6 the Turbo turned in a top speed of 153mph and earth shattering acceleration times.
Produced only as a Coupe the 3.0 litre, 911 Turbo was replaced in 1977 by the 3.3 litre Turbo after over 2,800 examples had been built.
