Peugeot introduced the 202 four-door saloon in 1938 with an 1,100 cc engine. An unusual feature of the car was the way the headlights were placed close together behind the grille. This model reappeared in February 1945 and more than 14,000 of them were sold that year. The 202 was still built on a separate chassis but had independent front suspension and a 1,133 cc overhead valve engine that produced 30 bhp at 4,000 rpm.
