Although not that exciting to look at the Peugeot 305 provided excellent family transport for many buyers world-wide and earned an enviable reputation for reliability. The 305 came with a choice of a simple four door saloon or estate body, the estate benefiting from having a near flat, loading space.

A range of engines were available for the 305 including 1.3, 1.5, 1.6 and 1.9 petrol engines. The plush GTX versions had 105bhp and could reach 113mph. A refined 1.9 Diesel engine was also available and proved to be reliable and popular with European buyers. Production of the 305 ended in 1988.
