Taking over from the short-lived Series II the Series III 6/90 introduced the last improvements to the 6/90 range.
Improvements and changes included a larger rear window to improve rearward visibility and servo assisted brakes of a larger diameter. The 6/90 Series III remained in production until 1959 when the Farina styled 6/99 arrived.
