Wolseley Hornet Series II

Overview

Produced: 1963-1966
Types: Saloon, 2 doors, 4 seats

New for 1963 was the Wolseley Hornet MkII, basically a more powerful version of this well received up-market BMC Mini. The Hornet MkII introduced more power courtesy of a larger 998cc A-Series engine developing 38bhp and with a top-speed of nearly 80mph.

In mid1964 the Hornet received the improved Hydrolastic suspension to replace the original rubber coned arrangement. Other mechanical improvements included a modified clutch and key staring to replace the separate starter button used previously on the MkI.
