Wolseley Hornet III

Overview

Produced: 1966-1969
Types: Saloon, 2 doors, 4 seats

The last in the long-tail, luxury Mini based cars appeared in 1966, the Riley Elf MkIII and Wolseley Hornet MkIII. Both models now benefited from wind-up door windows and face level, adjustable fresh-air, eyeball type vents as found on the later Mini's.

One unnoticeable, but important change was that the Elf and Hornet production line had been moved to the Austin factory at Longbridge in Birmingham. The MkIII cars remained in production at Longbridge until being discontinued in 1969.
