Along with the rest of the Farina range, the Morris Oxford received a major facelift in 1961. The new Oxford was now known as the Series VI and looked even more similar to the Austin model than in the previous range. The Oxford now had the same tail lamps as the Austin (which were new anyway) and benefited from the better proportioned rear wings and revised front grille.

The Oxford remained in production until 1971 with very little development during its production life. As usual a Traveller estate version was available, along with a Diesel engined version, which became popular with Mini-cab operators thanks to its remarkable economy.
