Singer introduced a revised version of its Nine Roadster in 1949, the Nine Roadster 4A model. Essentially the car was the same as the
pre-1949 car but benefited from having a new SU carburettor and a new four speed gearbox.
Despite its old-fashioned appearance the Singer Nine Roadster continued to sell well abroad in the important export markets and remained in production in 4A format until 1950.
