By 1947 Singer desperately needed a model to compete in the ever popular "12hp" saloon sector, rather than develop a new car Singer simply re-launched its pre-war model, the Super Twelve.

The Super Twelve now sported post-war "disc" wheels, a new radiator design and a larger boot offering improved luggage space. Mechanical equipment included a beam axle and hydraulic brakes, the 1525cc engine adopted the usual Singer overhead camshaft layout. Production of this stop-gap model was short lived and finished in 1949.
