Following the end of WW2 the Standard Motor Company launched two of its popular pre-war family models, the 12HP and 14HP. Both models came well equipped and with a choice of Saloon, Drophead Coupe or Estate bodies and were well built.

The 12HP model used a 1609cc four cylinder sidevalve engine. Essentially this was a carry over of the pre-war old Super 12 model and so styling features were extremely out of date even in 1945!
