Dodge did not forget those with a preference for a more sporty car, catering for them with models such as the Charger, a sports coupe with an engine of 425 bhp power output, and the 1970 Dodge Challenger. This latter coupe or convertible, with a choice of six-cylinder or V-8 engines, had to compete with the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang. Engine capacity varied from 5,210 - 7,206 cc and top power was in excess of 430 bhp!
