In 1948 the Humber range finally gained "modern" styling, albeit with heavy American influences adding a touch of colourful glamour. As before the Hawk formed the lower end of the range and used a four cylinder engine. The Hawk III used the same sidevalve engine found in the earlier Hawk models which offered only modest performance.
The graceful body of the Hawk featured a curved windscreen, four side windows and was mounted on a traditional, separate chassis. Luxury appointments included leather upholstery and a sliding sunroof. The Hawk III remained in production until 1950.
