As on all previous Silver Cloud models, a Long Wheel Base model of the Silver Cloud III was offered. As before this car was identical mechanically to its standard (short) wheel base sister car, the only difference being a longer chassis.
Most SCIII LWB cars carried the Park Ward modified Standard Steel body, stretched by four inches to improve rear compartment space.
In line with the standard SWB cars the new SCIII LWB cars used the twin headlamp front end design, in total 253 LWB cars were built.
