Ford announced another facelift to its German built Taunus range in 1964, the 17M and 20M Phase 5. The 17M used the 1498cc V4 engine and the 20M made use of the more powerful V6 unit. As before with previous models, a more powerful TS version was also available and used the 1998cc V6 engine.
Between 1964-1967 Ford built and sold over 710,000 Taunus 17M and 20M models.
