Ford announced Mk Iv versions of its Zephyr and Zodiac models in 1966. The new range featured square, American styling, a new range of engines, all-round disc brakes and independent suspension. The Zodiac model came with a new 3.0 litre V6 engine, power steering and a floor change manual gearbox, although an automatic 'box was also available.
The Zodiac could be distinguished by its four headlamp front, full width reflective rear panel and extra chrome trim. Inside the Zodiac had large, reclining front seats and was well equipped. Production continued until 1972.
