This remarkable car first registered Jan 2 1968 was in the same family ownershipfor thirty-nine years, it has been meticulously maintained by its late garage proprietor owner and until recently, for twenty years or so, was dry-stored on support stands.

With a top speed of 120mph and 0-60mph acceleration in 10 seconds, Daimlers 4.2 litre, six cylinders Sovereign was one of the quickest Daimlers to be offered by
the company.

Derived from the Jaguar XJ6, it was readily identified by the traditional Daimler fluted radiator surround and the interior was furnished in best Daimler traditions with finest quality leather hide upholstery to the seats, polished figured walnut instrument panel and deep pile wool carpets, sufficiently individual to satisfy Daimlers established clientele.

The car is painted in Old English White livery with blue upholstery which has been immaculately conserved, The Factory specification provided includes being
fitted with custom seat covers from new, and supplied with a full set of 5 made to measure Motor Cases to the boot.

There has been no accident damage or repairs ever with only minor stone chip paintwork carried out.

Before leaving the Jaguar factory at Browns Lane this car was personally road tested by LOFTY ENGLAND.

One of 240 cars built with 4 speed manual gearbox and Overdrive.

This exceptional car was built to an exceedingly high specification, with factory fitted options including:-

E-Type gas flowed cylinder head,
9:1 compression ratio,
2.55 twin carburettors,
E-Type steering column, leather sports steering wheel & steering lock,
Header tank return pipe,
Spare set of chrome wire wheels,
Extra 10 gallon fuel tank,
Electrically heated front and rear windscreen
Bray mains 240volt electric engine heater.

Special custom made magnesium alloy Minilite Magnesium wheels with Gold Pin stripe & spline fittings were commissioned for this car, a radiator grille muffler and stainless steel exhaust system complete the high specification.

Additional extras fitted for the original owner include an immobiliser, 6 speakers, a Philips and a Radiomobile radio sets, an 8 track tape player, M/L radio set, a Sony cassette recorder, with microphone, and a Radiomobile cassette player, additional horizontal radio aerial underneath.

At the time of the first change of ownership/purchase the recorded mileage was just 41,950 miles. In more recent years the car has seen fair weather use only, mainly attending car shows.

Although presently fitted with the aforementioned Minilite (Magnesium Alloy) wheels a complete set of unused original chrome wire wheels/Tyres came with the car and they still have the original Dunlop labels stuck on them and 4 inflater extensions.
