Alfa Romeo 145 1.6 TS

The 145 was a 3-door hatchback with flat-4 engines of 1351, 1596 and 1712cc, as well as a vertical 1929cc turbo diesel. For 1997 the flat-4s gave way to vertical engines of approximately the same size, and featured the Twin Spark system in which a second, smaller, sparking plug fired at the end of the exhaust phase to ensure that any unburnt fuel was eradicated before leaving the engine.
