The 1956 Imperial could be ordered in three body types: four-door sedan, two door coupe, and four-door coupe. The high rear wings were a feature of the Imperial. Their 5,801 cc V-8 engines produced 284 bhp at 4,600 rpm. It was powerful enough to reach 109 mph (175 kph)
