Volvo 262C Coupe

Overview
Produced: 1977-1981, 9951 produced.
Types: Coupe,2 doors,5 seats

Volvo launched one of its most intriguing models in 1977, the 262C Coupe. The 262C Coupe was a unique two-door car coachbuilt in Italy by Bertone, based on the 260 saloon platform. Built mainly to special order this unique Volvo was a most unusual car in an otherwise bland model range.

The 262C Coupe came with two engines, a 2664cc plus a 2849cc unit, both of which were V6's. Most examples had automatic transmission and all came with air-conditioning. The body looked the same as a regular 260 from the waist downwards, apart from the two doors, although the vinyl covered roof was unique.

Production ran until 1981 when the car was quietly deleted from the Volvo line-up.
