In 1936, Aero introduced a sports car, the Aero 50. This model was powered by a heavier four-cylinder engine with a bore/stroke ratio of 85 x 88 mm and a capacity of 1997cc. The two-stroke engine delivered 45 bhp and ensured a top speed of 81 mph (130 kph). The bodies of the open-top Aeros were made by the Czech firm Sodomka.
