Willys was less successful with building family cars after World War II. The Willys Aero Wing appeared in 1951 with a two-door monocoque body and room for six persons. By American standards this was a small car to fill the gap between the Nash Rambler and the larger American cars. This car had a 2,638 cc six-cylinder engine with the inlet valves in the cylinder head and exhaust valves in the cylinder block. The motor produced power of 91 bhp at 4,200 rpm.
