The Roadster was a 2 + 2 with the rear set passengers carried in an external dicky seat.  The model was produced in two different series prior to 1948, 2501 were made with 1,776 cc 65 bhp engines and after that with a four-cylinder 2,088 cc engine giving 68 bhp at 4,200 rpm.

This attractive Roadster Coupe is manufactured by the Standard Motor Co. Ltd. The whole car is designed primarily for comfort but the powerful 2088cc o.h.v. engine...the exceptionally rigid tubular chassis...the independant front suspension.. the Girling "Hydrastatic" brakes...and the three speed synchromesh gearbox controlled from the steering column-combine to make a car capable of high performance, which is both safe and comfortable to handle.
