Billed as a direct replacement for the "Daytona", the 365GT4BB and 512BB were no match for the earlier cars legendary performance. Ferrari claimed a top speed of 176mph for the 512BB, power came from a flat 12 engine developing 360bhp in 365GT4BB form and 340bhp in the 512BB.
Bodywork styling came from Pininfarina using a tubular monocoque construction, the flat 12 was mid-mounted in the classic 70s Ferrari tradition. Production ran from 1973-1984 with 2300 cars being produced in total, the flat 12 engine lived on in the 1980s Testarossa.
