Fiat introduced a new 1200 convertible 1959, designed by Pininfarina. The mechanical details: a 1,221 cc four-cylinder engine delivering 58 bhp at 5,300 rpm, with a four-speed gearbox and four drum brakes. The early series had a compression ratio of 8:1, then the later models had a slightly higher compression ratio of 8.25:1, and max BHP (SAE) was 63BHP.
