The post-war 1100 was a slightly improved version of the 1939 Fiat 1100 that had succeeded the 508 Balilla 1100. The 1948 Fiat 1100 can be recognised by the pointed radiator grille. The 1100B of 1949 had a slightly more powerful engine and the final 1100E model no longer had the spare wheel mounted on the back of the car but was inside the boot. There was also a Fiat 1500 with the same body but with a 45 bhp six-cylinder engine of 1,493 cc.
