The nickname is derived from the flat radiator with which this model was delivered even pre-war. The car was sold as both a two-seater and four-seater version. The 4/4 had a small 1,267 cc Standard Ten engine that produced 41 bhp. The Plus 4 was powered by a 2,088 cc Standard Vanguard engine.
