Austin A90 Atlantic convertible Car was purchased by me in 2003 from a fellow member of the Austin A90 Atlantic Club of Australia Inc. having been the subject of a restoration several years ago. The car is black and when purchased by me also had an all black interior trim which I successfully re-coloured in cream, using a commercial vinyl paint spray. When purchased the motor was fitted with non standard twin Stromberg carburettors which I have replaced with the correct 1 1/2" SU carbs. Have replaced the head gasket, had the gearbox rebuilt and clutch replaced and generally tidied up the appearance. The car is high geared for its era and is fast enough to keep up with modern day traffic. It is far less stressed at 70mph than another of my 50's cars, an FJ Holden. The car has Club Permit plates and is used for outings with the local Mildura Vintage Vehicles Club and when possible the annual gathering of the A90 Atlantic Club of Australia. The picture shows my cousin and his wife with his red A90 Atlantic with my black car, myself and my wife.
