Overview
Produced: 1959-1961, 15162 produced.
Types: Saloon,4 doors,5 seats

In 1959 the conservative A95/A105 range were replaced by a much sleeker Italian saloon, the all new A99 Westminster. The A99 shared its Farina designed body with the also new Wolseley 6/99, which was mechanically identical but came with all the usual Wolseley trim.

The A99 was powered by a detuned Austin Healey 3000, 2912cc engine developing 103bhp, transmission was either 3 speed manual with overdrive or automatic, both units being supplied by Borg Warner. The brakes were now servo assisted and included discs at the front, inside the A99 had plenty of room and comfortable seats for six people. The A99 was replaced in 1961 by the larger A110 Westminster.  Practical Classics August 2008 - Featuring Buyers Guide Six-Cylinder Austin Farinas (1959-1968).  Click Here to view in our shop.
