New Jaguar XJ Executive Saloon, tailor made For Business Users. Jaguar announced the launch of the XJ executive on the 10th April 1996, and made it's debut at the Fleet Show on the 23rd April.

Based on the class leading Jaguar XJ6 3.2 the Executive offered all the style and status & equipment of the standard car.  However extras included 4 speed Auto, Automatic Climate control,leather seat facings, sports style seats, and a wood & leather steering wheel, and wooden gear selector knob. It was available in 113" wheelbase form only & a range of 8 colours & 4 interior trim combinations.   It is powered by the Jaguar 3.2 Ltr all Aluminium, twin cam, 24 valve AJ16 Six Cylinder engine. 216 bhp at 5100 rpm.  Zero to 60 in 8.9 sec and a top speed of 139mph ( allegedly).  Cost at the time £34,970 inc delivery & 12 month road fund licence.  Now circa £3,000 for a very good one.(Oct 2008)
