Triumph Herald Coupe

Types: Coupe,2 doors, 2+2 seats

The Triumph Herald range first appeared in 1959 and offered economical family motoring with sporty Sixties flair. Triumph took the unusual step of building the new model on a separate chassis and assembling the body from sub-assembled front, mid and rear sections. This allowed for a wide variety of body styles including a pretty 2 door Coupe.

Because the roof section of the Herald was a separate assembly it was easy for Triumph to add a low back coupe roof to an otherwise standard saloon body. Most Herald Coupes were finished in attractive two-tone paint finishes and all were equipped with the twin carb, 948cc Standard 10 derived engine. Today the Herald Coupe is a rare and sought after classic Triumph.
