A much improved Vitesse 2-litre arrived in 1968, the Vitesse 2-litre Mk II. The Mk II featured a revised rear suspension layout which eliminated the earlier handling problems. A more powerful engine improved performance (now 104bhp), although overdrive was still an optional extra.
As before saloon and convertible models were available, both now featuring a revised front grille and a bright finished rear panel. The Vitesse 2-litre Mk II sold well until 1971 when production of the Herald / Vitesse range ceased.
