Triumph Spitfire Mk II

Overview
Produced: 1965-1967, 37409 produced.
Types: Sports,2 doors,2 seats

The Spitfire received its first model change in 1965 when it became the Spitfire 4 Mk II, an intermediate model that would only run until the Mk III arrived in 1967. The Mk II used a more powerful version of the Herald derived 1147cc motor used in the Mk I, it now developed an extra 4bhp (now 67bhp) thanks to a revised camshaft.

One criticism of the Mk I Spitfire was its rather basic interior trim and furnishings. The Mk II now came equipped with carpet and leathercloth trim covering the previously painted surfaces. Other distinguishing features included a revised front grille and new badges.  Practical Classics September 2009 - Featuring Buyers Guide Triumph Spitfire (1962-1980).  Click Here to view in our shop.
