The Vanden Plas Princess 3 Litre received the same facelift as the rest of the 3 Litre Farina range in 1961. This update introduced a longer wheelbase, revised rear suspension, centre mounted gearchange for manual cars and an improved facia layout. Performance figures remained impressive for such a large saloon, top speed being a claimed 105mph.
From the outside there was little to distinguish the MkII from its earlier sister, apart from the slightly longer wheelbase. As usual the interiors and exterior paint consisted of high quality materials finished to a high standard. The 3 Litre eventually made way for the unique Princess
4 Litre in 1964.
