A beautifully proportioned open Porsche, the Speedster added a new name to the motoring vocabulary that really couldn't be explained better, maybe the word roadster or spyder would have been used by other manufacturers. The Speedster differs from the 356A Cabriolet in that it has a lower roofline and front windscreen.
Made from 1955-58 in 356A form, the Speedster was particularly popular in the United States where many good examples can now be find. This particular Porsche earned an all most cult status and has been much copied by replica builders in recent years.
