Basically an improved version of the earlier 911 and 911L, the 1968 911E introduced many new features. The new car now cam with a fuel injection system and in later (1970 onwards) cars a larger 2.2 litre engine developing 155bhp.
The 911E was available in both Coupe and Targa versions, now on a longer wheelbase platform with more pronounced wheel arches and wider road wheels.
