The Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 SS (Super Sport) model was launched on the eve of World War 2 in 1939. Production of the 6C 2500SS resumed at the end of hostilities and continued until 1953. This was the last of the true coachbuilt Alfa's and a variety of bodies found their way onto this chassis, although the majority of 6C 2500SS carried coachwork by Touring, a favourite of Alfa Romeo.
The car was powered by a 2443cc, dual overhead camshaft, straight six which produced 110bhp. The powerful six cylinder engine allowed the 6C 2500SS to easily top over 100mph.
