Despite a bumpy start AC began production of its new Ace models in 1996 under its new parent company ownership. Although the Ace name harks back to the 1950's the new cars are all new and feature handmade bodies mounted onto a separate chassis (made for AC in South Africa.)
The Ace range consists of two models, the Ford engined 4.6 litre V8 or the supercharged 5.0 litre version shared with the latest Cobra., the Superblower. Both models offer the traditional AC blend of British craftsmanship and American Ford "muscle-car" performance.
