Daimler replaced its short lived One-O-Four model with the new Majestic model in 1958. The Majestic now had a 3794cc six cylinder engine, all-round disc brakes and a new automatic gearbox as standard. The Majestic was certainly capable of reaching speeds which belied its traditional appearance and proved to be a popular saloon model for the company.
Externally the Majestic shared its styling with the earlier One-O-Four model, although its width had grown and the lines appeared to be much smoother than before. Production of the six cylinder Majestic continued until 1962.
