The final version of the 541 theme was subtantially revised and entitled, the 541-S. Fully 4" wider, more headroom and the front flap replaced by a more conventional grille. The Austin engine was now coupled to a Rolls-Royce modified GM Hydramatic gearbox although 20 manual box cars were built.
Total 541-S production was: 127.
